Employers operating their own Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) systems will need to ensure that their payment systems are updated to ensure compliance with HMRC’s new “real time information” regime. Employers will be required to submit PAYE information to HMRC at the same time employees are paid, instead of waiting until after the end of the tax year.
